In advance, thank you for your responses. I had a fender bender and the driver side air bag deployed. Now, the airbag light continues to stay on, which i find a nuisance. Removed the light, now i'm getting a series of beep codes.

In the accident, the airbag actually caused more damage to me than if i not had one, leaving burn marks along my arm.

I have no intent of selling the vehicle and it is quite obvious the air bag has been deployed. I leave the passenger side constantly turned off.

After reading several other solutions, most saying replace the error light...i am not impressed and replacing the entire steering system is not a solution i intend to do.

I have removed one fuse after reading an article (fuse 15), fuse 2 also seems to be associated with the airbag system but other components as well.

I am pretty sure the airbag deployment system is similar to other ford models, so all relevant suggestions to the question will be appreciated.

Dsiconnect the airbag electronic module which you can find at the center of the dash just behind the radio.Remove the dash front panel to gain access to the RCM.

You have asked this in the UK section, and the car will fail an MOT with an airbag warning light on. You need to replace the airbag and sort the electrics.

Your insurance may also be invalidated by driving a car which is supposed to have an airbag but doesn't.

If this is in the UK (as this is the UK and Ireland site) to be able to pass an MOT test it will have to have a fully functioning air bag and warning light so you may as well fix it properly
