I love my f-150.... it's very reliable but it's not even close to good on gas.
throw some bigger tires on it... and your screwed, i'm down to about 10mpg now. LOL
Anyways i'd go with the ranger if your looking for a cheap, daily driver.

I've owned several Rangers over the years and they are rock-solid and usually run til the sheet metal rusts away. They are cheap to maintain and get good gas mileage, esp. if you get a 4 cylinder with a 5 speed manual tranny. I vote Ford Ranger.

Ford F-150.... it's the most reliable and most stable built among those.
2nd, I'd pick the Nissan.

i have a 95 F-150 that has 180,000 miles on it and the only significant repair was a clutch at 155,000 miles, sucks on gas mileage though 15-17 mpg. Had a ranger that I drove into the ground, literally. that truck spent more time airborne than my bmx bike (had to replace a clutch as well), had good gas mileage too 23-28 mpg with a 2.9l V-6. and after 155,000 miles of abuse it died of condensation cuz it sat for a year without being started.
so the 2 Ford's have my vote, i hear that both the toyota and the nissan trucks are nice too....but i would never buy one.

Get a Used Chevy Silverado Or GMC Sierra, but not from A GM Dealer. Fords make good trucks not cars. I like The tacoma Too.

I owned a ford f150 and loved it. It ran forever without any problems. The only thing I needed to replace was the tranny at 128,000 miles, other then that, I did not have any abnormal repairs. So I am a fan of the F150 from personal experiance and it gets very good reliability and repair history ratings from consumer reports and jd power. The Toyota Tacoma is also a awesome truck as far as reliability and repair history. To be honest with you, even though I am a huge Ford fan and Ford is my favorite car maker, if I could have any truck for free I would take the Toyota. I feel though, that the F150 is the best buy for the money and if I had to buy a truck with my hard earned money, I would buy the F150.

I'd go for the Toyota Tacoma. F-150 is a common truck but unless you get the v6 you'll be spending a lot on gas. The Ford Rangers are ok but the transmission seem to go out alot in them. I've know 5 people with Rangers and they've all had the same problem. The Nissan Frontier would be the second pick but I find that Nissan is better for cars as Toyota is better for trucks.

I go with the nissan or toyota.
The ranger(Mazda b-series) is also good.
I don't know too much about f-150 but seems okay.
