I have a Mustang 2007 since new pony package, and now I can afford to buy the V8 and im thinking to buy a 2005 Gt pay for the more expensive insurance, fuel maintenance etc...and keep it forever, and im thinking to buy the 2005 gt because I believe it will be a nice Collectible car for when im an old man. I also can buy a GT-H but not sure if its worth it.

I will buy it anyways, but im looking the differences between the equipment, to see if my current mustang upgrades will be obsolete and i rather sell them, and unfortunately everywhere I look there are retards saying nonstop.
LOL its 2 cyl short uehoueho....and its kinda frustrating. Other people say fuel mpg, well my DD is a Fat Boy so I dont care.

What is the equipment Difference between the V6 and the V8?

So far I know the obvious power increase, and I found that the the foglights, the wheel size (1 inch bigger) and the door speakers and the rear axle change. Is there any other real difference?

Mine has Mycolor, Tcs, pony grill with fogs and 6x9´s on the doors where the shaker subs go and they put out nice bass. Have a 12 sub in the trunk and changed all the speakers for 6x8 planet audio.

Is there any other real difference between the models?
Please serious answers only, no dumb lol its a v6 thing because I found out over time that actually 90% of the people that says lolv6 cant even tell the difference on the streets, only mustang owners do, and they dont mock they just keep driving as long as you dont act a fool and try to race them.

Thank you very much, I hope you answer better than the Mustang Forums around the web.

The fuel economy won't be much different actually, the difference is about 2 MPG at most. total engine size not necessarily cylinder count has more effect on fuel economy. And the 4.0L V6 and 4.6L are fairly close in displacement so the fuel economy isn't hugely different.

The standard GT won't be a collectable as Ford made close to a million S197's, the GT-H will be much more highly sought after, as they are fairly rare.

As far as equipment difference between the V6 and the GT it goes something like this

The GT has

The 4.6L 3v 4.6L

A TR-3650 manual transmission vs. the T-5 on the V6 (manuals only, automatics are the same)

Bigger front brakes

Bigger radiator

8.8 inch rear axles vs. the 7.5 inch for the V6

Standard Trac-Loc limited slip diff

bigger wheels

wider/taller tires

different driveshaft

Upgraded suspension

standard fog lights

standard dual exhaust

quicker steering ratio

The V6 only has a 3.31 axle ratio available. The manual 05 GT's had 3.55 gears standard, with the automatics having 3.31 gears

Interior equipment has more to do with the trim level (Deluxe vs. Premium ) that the model (V6 v.GT)

" I found out over time that actually 90% of the people that says lolv6 cant even tell the difference on the street, only mustang owners do"

I wouldn't say that, people that know even a little about cars in general can tell the difference.

" and they dont mock they just keep driving as long as you dont act a fool and try to race them."

As long as they aren't trying to pass off their car as something it's not. I ran into one guy at car show once talking **** about how badass his Cobra was. I noticed that it was an *automatic*, and asked for him to open the hood. He declined saying that he never shows what he has under the hood, because he likes to hustle people at the strip. However when he fired it up, it was clearly a V6. I have no problems with calling someone out on that.

On the mustangs from 1994-04 both mustangs shared the same emblem. The only difference is the V8 had GT emblems on the rear and fenders. The newer mustangs from 05-10 have a difference. The V6 has the pony emblem on that circle on the rear, but the V8 has the letters GT on it.

I have an '03 Pony Edition, besides the engine ....the V6 has a 7.5 limited slip rear end, and no rear sway bar. They're pretty close to the GT for everything else
