The engine has 4.0 Liters of displacement. There are 6 cylinders in a V shape (3 sets of 2 oposing cylinders). The engine has 12 Valves, 2 per cyliner; one intake and one exhaust. Flex Fuel means it can run on either gasoline or or Ethanol or a combination of the two. Ethanol is a cleaner burning fuel and does not affect power. It is even better for your engine because it helps to clean out and nasty deposits the gasoline leaves inside the engine.

Well, mostly everyone has the idea. The displacement of engine is 4 liters, 6 cylinders in a V, Single overhead cam, and 12 valves- or 2 per cylinder. (one intake, one exhaust.)
Flex fuel vehicles can be safely run on ethanol, gasoline, or a combination of the two. This engine can be found in Rangers and Explorers.
